Having now seen the new James Bond movie, it seems that despite being shot, the “evil” Mr White seemed to make it OK to the Opera soon after, and even more remarkably to the end of the Quantum of Solace without being killed by 007. Is James Bond losing his touch? Or are we just being given a hint of a sub-plot in the next James Bond movie? Daniel Craig makes the film his own and doesn’t need the crutch of one liners to carry off his role. Judi Dench as M was again magnificent, although the lack of gadgets and non stop action might not appeal to younger fans.
It was nice that the Quantum of Solace at least had a plot that made you think. I do hope Hazlemere Windows gets the contract to replace all the windows and doors Bond and baddies smashed during the film. There was an awful lot of flying glass, and believable stunts, which is what is so refreshing about Daniel Craig’s portrayal of Ian Fleming’s James Bond. Certainly worth going to see – enjoy!
