It’s not everyday Hazlemere Orangeries advertise in the Mail-On-Sunday Newspaper

Author: Mark Austin  |  Leave a Comment >>

Hazlemere Conservatories took a full page advert in a forty page Senior Lifestyle supplement that went out throughout London and most of the Home Counties in the Mail-On-Sunday on 12th February 2012. The advert entitled “Bring the Outside In” featured six different bespoke orangery designs, purely as examples of the sort of uses a contemporary double glazed orangeries can be utilised for.

Being a family owned and run independent double glazing manufacturer and installer, taking page 25 of this Senior Living supplement was quite a departure from the adverts normally limited to local newspapers and magazines. So they could measure the effectiveness (or otherwise!) of the advert, Hazlemere Orangeries ran with a unique phone number to measure the level of response.

Author: Mark Austin  |  Leave a Comment >>

The whole concept of an “optimum” location is for a letterbox in a UK property may not seem that important initially, but can be one of those quirky decisions that has a genuine impact on how well a residential composite, hardwood, metal or UPVC front door performs energy efficiency wise, plus the position of a letterplate also genuinely affects just how secure any particular home is (along with multi-locking devices etc.)

The favoured height of a letterbox for a postman has got to be on or above the mid-rail of a front door or side panel, so they cannot claim “health and safety” reasons for not being able to deliver through a very low letterbox positioned say in the bottom rail, meaning they have to …
