Kingslakes Holidays Now Open All Year Round

Kingslakes holidays in Devon is a family owned and run business, which is now open all year round, with seven fully stocked coarse fishing lakes with a mixture of carp, tench, bream, roach, trout and different types of silver fish etc.

Whilst many Kingslakes customers who come year after year spend every day fishing, it is entirely  up to clients what they do, as the beautiful Devon countryside surrounds, with Bude and Widemouth Bay golden sandy beaches only thirty minutes away, excellent local pubs (three of which are less than five minutes drive away), all serving good quality food at reasonable prices.

Kingslakes is owned by the Hazlemere Group, so like its window, door and conservatory business, it is highly customer focused looking to provide for the individual needs of all its visitors. As part of this commitment to continue to improve the Kingslakes experience, the business has invested in a new Clubhouse with associated leisure facilities, Bar and Restaurant, mixture of animals to entertain young children and a new on-site Shop.  

Kingslakes is a hidden treasure amongst 40 acres of beautiful Devon countryside, only accessed via a long single track road with passing places, so is extremely peaceful, quiet and relaxing, hence why it attracts so many folk. Being a central location in Devon it is an ideal self-catering base from which to explore, or simply sit round and enjoy Kingslakes many pretty countryside walks and lakes.

All the ten traditional cottages and six detached lodges have been well equipped to a high standard with modern fully kitted out kitchens for those who would prefer to cook themselves rather than eat out every night. All the living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms are furnished to a high degree of comfort. The accommodation on offer includes, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom cottages, plus even a four bedroom cottage that sleeps up to eight (3 of the cottages have panoramic views over a large grassed area down to Kitchen Lane and the Woodlands either side). There are also three 2 bedroom secluded detached lodges sleeping up to four overlooking one of the lakes, and three 3 bedroom detached lodges sleeping up to five.
