Who is Marky Sparky?

Mark Austin (alias “Marky Sparky”) is a fortysomething failed Manager of the Universe, who now settles for losing humbly at golf to his 17 year old son (as well as virtually everybody else!). He has been married to his amazingly tolerant wife Alison for 24 years and has two lovely grown up daughters of 20 and 22.  Mark has lived in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire his entire life, and tolerates the 3 ageing family cats.

Mark spent 14 very memorable years in the roller-coaster that is the Football Industry, most of which at Adams Park in the Sales and Marketing Department of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, latterly moving on to Loftus Road as Commercial Director of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, before deciding to get a business development job in Civvy Street, firstly with Advanced Interior Solutions Ltd (a high quality office fit-out company in High Wycombe), and now as the Marketing Director of the Hazlemere Group, a major regional independent manufacturer of replacement double glazed, windows, doors, curtain walling and conservatories.
