Mark Austin, Marketing Director, The Hazlemere Group

Mark Austin (alias “Marky Sparky”) is a too soon to be fiftysomething failed Manager of the Universe, who now settles for losing humbly at golf to his 19 year old son David (as well as everybody else!). He has been married to his amazingly tolerant wife Alison for more than 25 years and has two lovely grown up daughters of 22 year old Anna (married to Adam Lovell, whose son Joshua James was born in 2011) and 24 year old Sarah, a Religious Education and History Teacher, working in a private school in Chislehurst, Kent.  Mark has lived in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire his entire life, and tolerates the 3 ageing family cats, despite the fact they are often throwing up (and often worse!) all round the house.

Mark spent 14 very memorable years in the roller-coaster that is the Football Industry, most of which at Adams Park in the Sales and Marketing Department of Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, latterly moving on to Loftus Road as Commercial Director of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, before deciding to get a business development job in Civvy Street, firstly with Advanced Interior Solutions Ltd (a high quality office fit-out company in High Wycombe), and now as the Marketing Director of the Hazlemere Group, a major regional independent manufacturer, supplier and installer of high quality bespoke replacement double glazed, windows, doors, curtain walling and conservatories.
