Planning & Building a Conservatory
Detailed planning is the absolute essential tool to ensure you get the right conservatory building for your property, plus one that meets your expectations. When planning a conservatory do bear in mind a poorly designed conservatory building will have an impact on the value of your home, so it pays to get your conservatory construction right from the start.

Building a Conservatory
Before building a conservatory, the key to success is good planning, design and construction. Getting the conservatory build right will ensure you have extra living space that is neither too warm, nor too cold, so it is important not to compromise, so ensure you specify materials that will keep your conservatory building looking as good as the day it was finished for decades to come. Do You Need Planning Permission?
Not all conservatory construction requires planning, but it is wise when planning a conservatory to ensure your property has a legal document confirming your legal right to build one. As this is something you will need when selling your home, prior to any conservatory build, Hazlemere conservatories will apply on your behalf for planning permission to your Local Council under the Town & Country Planning Act 1990, or for a Certificate of Lawful Proposed Development where this would be more appropriate and likely to succeed than a planning application. This process takes each Local Council about 8 weeks to determine an application from the date it is registered. So when planning a conservatory, make sure that before you start building a conservatory that you have all the appropriate legal documentation.
