The operation of butt hinges provides a large clear opening which allows for easy access for maintenance and cleaning of the existing windows. The friction hinged secondary window is ideal for situations where the window panel needs to be kept open at a chosen angle. One can combine lift out Hazlemere secondary glazed units with hinged secondary glazed units.
Butt Hinged or Side Hinged Secondary Glazing
Butt hinged secondary glazing comes as either a single or double paneled unit. The butt hinges give a large clear opening which allows for easy maintenance and cleaning. The butt (or side) hinges allow for the secondary unit to open fully.
Friction Hinged Secondary Glazing
Our friction hinged units are single panel units and come in either side or top hung variants. Our friction hinged units are made from slim and strong aluminium. The friction hinges keep the panels open to the chosen angle.
