Factory Manager

Role - Factory Manager

Purpose of the Role - Assist in the day to day smooth running of the factory floor through supervision of: staff, procedures and product.

Reporting to – Head of Production

Job type - Full-time, permanent 

Hours - Monday to Friday, 40 hours

Salary – Competitive

 

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual who will ensure the smooth running of the Factory floor. You will provide optimum leadership and encouragement; as well as facilitating training and support staff to achieve results and help the company meet production targets.

 

The key responsibilities and accountabilities of this role include:

  1. Ensure manufacture is carried out in accordance with required specifications.
  2. Provide leadership, encouragement, training and support to help others meet their targets.
  3. Maintain Hazlemere’s high quality standards.
  4. Organise the factory labour resource to meet the demands of the fabrication programme.
  5. Ensure all manufacture is completed within the given timescales to meet the required installation dates.
  6. Complete and maintain required documentation in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  7. Liaise with all departments to ensure that the company’s requirements are fulfilled.
  8. Ensure that staff are adhering to company rules; monitor sickness and absence management with the assistance of the HR department.

Yardperson/Driver

Location: High Wycombe, Bucks

Salary: £18,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, (full time - 40 hours a week)

Hazlemere Window Company are looking for a Yardperson / Driver to ensure the day to day smooth running of the recycling and waste-streaming in the recycling area. Occasional driving duties will also be required. Reporting to Installations Director, the successful candidate will help support the company’s busy Retail Department.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:

  1. Ensure the smooth day to day running of the yard, whilst maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times.
  2. Ensure all materials control/yard duties are completed in a timely manner.
  3. Upholding and adhering to company procedures and rules at all times.
  4. Organise the return of materials and manage Fitters returning with waste material for streaming.
  5. Ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded/unloaded in a timely fashion and in the best way to utilise the available capacity and all relevant paperwork completed.
  6. Assist with maintenance of all delivery notes issued and maintain records of the signed returned delivery notes.
  7. Attend meetings as required to report on the operational status of the department.
  8. Provide cover for other members of staff as may be required from time to time.
  9. Be proactive with regards to continuous improvement and provide feedback on ways to improve the performance of the department and interfaces with it.
  10. Carry out any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the completion of the works by the company and/or the line manager.

Personal Specification:

  • Valid full UK driving license

Marketing Apprentice

Hazlemere Window Company is a family owned business with over three decades of experience in manufacturing and installing Windows, Doors, Conservatories, Roofline, Lantern Roof Lights, Secondary Glazing and Orangeries.  We are currently recruiting for two full-time Marketing Apprentices to work at our Head Office in High Wycombe.  This role will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will cover marketing duties for both our Retail and Commercial Division.  The successful applicants should possess an outgoing, artistic flair for marketing to help us evolve this department in line with the Company to reach out to our existing and new customers.

Once the apprenticeship is completed, the company may be open to offering a permanent position to a suitable candidate who shows enthusiasm and aptitude for the role.

Factory Operative

Hazlemere Window Company is a family owned business with over three decades of experience in manufacturing and installing Windows, Doors, Conservatories, and Orangeries.  We are currently recruiting for a full-time Factory Operative to work within our 38,000 square foot factory in High Wycombe.  This role will report directly to both the Factory Manager and the Production Manager to ensure the day to day smooth running of the recycling and waste-streaming in the recycling area.

Hazlemere are looking for a fabricator to join our skilled team, manufacturing bespoke aluminium windows and doors. Whether you have previous fenestration experience or are new to the industry we have positions within our skills matrix that will fit your experience.

You will have your own vehicle, however you will be provided with all necessary hardware, software, literature and samples. You will operate from offices within Hazlemere’s large home improvements showroom in High Wycombe. Occasional showroom duties are currently shared with the other sales consultants, some of whom sell only conservatories.

Sales commissions are uncapped, with no limit placed on higher earnings. Hazlemere seek a self-motivated individual who is polite, punctual, diligent and customer focused.

Previous double glazing sales experience essential, preferably with a working knowledge of both UPVC and aluminium systems (both not vital, but would be useful). Experience with First Degree Systems software would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
