Hazlemere Window Company Limited, trading as HWC and the Hazlemere Group, was formed as a family concern by George Braham and his son Stuart Braham in 1985. From the outset, the company has concentrated on supplying and installing high quality aluminium products, whilst continuing to offer UPVC windows, doors & conservatories. All three of George’s sons, Ian, Stuart & Alan, still work fulltime in the family business to this day.

Initially concentrating on the domestic market, the company rapidly built a growing reputation for quality work and customer satisfaction. Much of their work is either repeat orders or on the recommendation of existing clients.

Having become fully established in the domestic replacement window market, they moved into conservatories, offering a full "one-stop" package of design, obtaining planning consent, preparing the base etc, erecting the conservatory and installing electrical and other services.

The move into the commercial sector was a natural progression and, using the same principles of quality product and customer satisfaction, the company soon earned a sound reputation with many local authorities for its work in schools and municipal housing projects.

Owning outright their own 18,000 square feet combined factory and showroom at Cressex, on the outskirts of High Wycombe, enables HWC to tightly control fabrication costs and other overheads. This has enabled them to weather past dips in economic trends and, together with their broad product range and diverse market penetration, demonstrates that they have a steadfast and secure long term future and are therefore a key player in the industry.

Although one of the larger companies in their market sector, they have a comparatively small workforce. All highly skilled and motivated, many of their people have been with the company for many years. This stability, which is unusual in the double glazing industry, has enabled them to generally promote from within over the last two decades, thereby retaining the skills, enthusiasm and dedication within the Hazlemere family business.

COMMERCIAL PROFILE

Hazlemere’s Commercial Division, is now a pivotal part of the Hazlemere Group, has steadily built a growing reputation for supplying high quality architectural aluminium products for the commercial sector.

One of the largest users of aluminium Sapa Building Systems products in the South, they also specialise in roof glazing, curtain walling, commercial entrance doors and ground floor treatment systems.

Hazlemere Commercial’s wide product range is mostly fabricated to specific client requirements in their own unemcumbered factory. This, together with their specialised in-house CAD software, enables them to offer a highly competitive solution to everything from basic window refurbishment to highly complex design projects.

In particular, they are proud of our in-house expertise that enables them to meet client specifications involving complex performance requirements covering wind loading, thermal efficiency, ventilation and solar gain.

ACCREDITATIONS & AWARDS

Hazlemere Window Company Limited is ISO 9001:2000 accredited and this, together with Investors in People recognition, underpins their entire approach to client servicing and business management.

In addition, Hazlemere Commercial is an EXOR accredited contractor, holds the Contractors Health & Safety Accreditation (CHAS), is Constructionline Approved, and has achieved numerous ratings including an ‘A’ rated window under the BRFC window energy ratings scheme.

They are also the proud holders of an RICS award in connection with the prestigious Yamanouchi-led design and construction of replacement fenestration at Littlemore Park Hospital, Oxford.
