An urge for a sitting room that felt like an original room in the house led to the development of this tiled roof extension at the Berkhampstead home of Allen and Rita (not to forget, Molly, the dog). They wanted to improve their existing conservatory and decided a solid roof was the way forward. To replicate the feeling of the light and bright original space, two glass panels were included in the solid roof covering.

The generous double opening that they provide allows Allen and Rita to bring an outdoorsy atmosphere into the extension during the warmer months of the year.
