A now very satisfied couple in Holmer Green love inviting guests to join them at their beautiful countryside home in the charming Buckinghamshire village. When a special visit beckoned from some friends travelling from New Zealand, they contacted Hazlemere about the feasibility of having a new open-plan solid roof kitchen extension crafted and ready in time for their arrival.
Quite a tight deadline was given for having it finished and functioning, but we knew we had the resource to meet the timescale. Once aware of that, Hazlemere was awarded responsibility for designing, project managing and constructing the space.
A meeting was set up with Hazlemere designer, Faheem. He ensured that the design process was thoughtful and collaborative, tuning in to the customer’s ideas so the resulting extension not only flawlessly blended with the rest of the house, but was serviceable for their needs.
Every stage of the build was expertly coordinated by Installation Manager, Alan Layton, who kept them informed of our progress throughout and was always available to address any questions or concerns. In very wet conditions, Harry and Liam did the backbreaking job of conscientiously preparing the groundworks and foundations.
Just as we said, the project met the deadline. The UPVC solid roof conservatory featuring white UPVC windows and a UPVC French door displaying integral Georgian bars, as well as carbon grey roof tiles, absolutely delighted them.
It was exactly the bright, open and welcoming space they dreamed of. Its open-plan layout meant that for the duration of their friends’ visit, other parts of the house were generally left vacant as it truly ticked all the boxes. Transforming how they use their property, all houseguests now get hosted in the light-filled conservatory, maximising the space whenever the chance arises.
