Hazlemere introduce new aluminium sliding sash window

Recently I attended the technical briefing and product launch for the new energy rated aluminium sliding sash window system Hazlemere Windows now offers. The sample window demonstrated to the staff and surveyors was a “slimline” double glazed vertical sliding aluminium window.

I was very impressed with this new window, particularly by how much slimmer it looks than the double glazed energy rated UPVC sliding sash windows that we supply and fit. This new aluminium sliding sash system has a lot of unique patented features that I believe will make this extremely high quality product attractive to discerning customers willing to invest in a high-end, high performing window system.

The thing that impresses me most about the new aluminium vertical sliding sash window system is that each double glazed window sash can be easily and safety rotated and/or removed for ease of cleaning. Whilst white powder coated aluminium sliding sash windows are the least expensive finish, the product is available in any RAL colour and a range of glazing options. Customers also have the choice of having a different colour on the inside of the window frame to the external window frame. There are some more “standard” colours than others, that not only cost less, but can be manufactured quicker, although not as quickly as white aluminium powder coated frames!

Another unique feature of this product, is that it has a depth of 114mm, which is narrower than UPVC box sash windows, and enable (where installation permits!) the existing box sash framework to be retained. The most aesthetically satisfying thing about the new aluminium vertical sliding sash double glazed windows is that they look almost identical to the pre-existing wooden box sash windows, thereby delivering a genuinely authentic like for like energy efficient virtually maintenance free double glazed more secure replacement.
