Notice To Customers About Alteration Of Guarantees
Long-term peace of mind and the safeguarding of their investment is a key concern for customers who purchase any product from within Hazlemere’s extensive range and rightly so.
That’s why we want to inform you of a recent change in guarantees, triggered by a modifying of glazing regulations which now requires an insurance backed guarantee to be provided by double glazing installers for ALL window and door, fascia and soffits and conservatory contracts.
In simple terms, EVERY installation conducted MUST be suitably protected financially as simply offering the option of an Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) is no longer adequate.
Previously, Hazlemere customers always had the option of having an IWA (Independent Warranty Association) Insurance Backed Guarantee, something we were obliged to do as a Competent Scheme Person member. Now it is obligatory that we give it to new customers.
It’s worth pointing out that this change in regulations doesn’t just apply to Hazlemere, but ALL home improvement companies, so if you do decide to go elsewhere for such products we advise you to double-check that the firm you deal with is FENSA registered, properly accredited and provides sufficient insurance cover.
Thanks to Hazlemere’s long standing affiliation with IWA, those who do utilise Hazlemere benefit from Deposit and Guarantee insurance that lasts up to 10 years. This also means that customers aren’t required to supply a deposit at any stage when having windows and doors replaced, putting them firmly in the driving seat at all times.
