The month of Valentine’s Day is a fitting occasion to share a couple of home love stories that we’ve helped instigate with the combination of our expertise and window and door solutions.
Both the Fuller and London families are infatuated with the impact Hazlemere’s designs have had on their properties and this is how their home fairy tales came true.
Beginning of a new chapter
10 years into occupation of a 30-year-old house, the Fullers began experiencing increased draughts and sought to curb them with like-for-like window replacements.
They changed their mind on sticking to the previous window style when on a showroom visit they encountered our flush casement windows and felt they could heighten the property’s attractiveness.
What a great call it was too, with friends and neighbours lavishing the new windows with praise soon after they’d been fitted, and the unwelcome draughts banished.
The Fullers couldn’t be happier with the windows, the solid core door to accompany them, and us.
A very happy ending
“The detail that went into the preparation for the work gave us confidence that this wasn’t a company who were going to try and fit the windows in just two days. Measurements were exact and once we saw the survey, we knew they were going to do a good job.
“No corners were cut, and it shows in the way the house now looks. There is an elegance to the casements and door that wasn’t there before and they’re not something you see every day.
“Nothing was too much for the guys while they were working, which they did in the most adverse weather. Hazlemere is obviously a company that takes pride in what it does.”
Bungalow brought back to life
The Londons had resided in their bungalow for about two years and wanted it given a complete refurb, searching around for a local company with a showroom presence so they could check out some new windows and doors.
Hazlemere was close to home and had a venue to visit, where they identified high-security windows, patio and French doors that would give the bungalow a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Our sales staff were up-to-speed with planning restrictions in their area, which led to our appointment and made the experience as painless as they’d hoped.
Revived and enticing again
“The windows and doors are in keeping with the character of the bungalow and we are extremely pleased with the results, including the thermal insulation and ultra-secure locks as security is always one of the top things on the list.

“Before the new windows were fitted, it wasn’t a welcome place to come into, whereas it is now with the replacements and we’re sure it’s increased the value of the house.”
