Hazlemere Takes To The Water For Charity
Always keen to do our bit for charity, several members of the Hazlemere team will again be taking part in the 13th annual Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival, held on Willen Lake, in aid of Age UK.
Due to take place on Sunday 22nd June, Hazlemere will be amongst an estimated 60 crews competing in their own individual human powered watercraft, an ancient Chinese tradition, over a distance of 200 metres, all whilst being cheered on by several thousand spectators.
Hazlemere’s crew will mostly be comprised of chaps from our factory who will do their best to man the boat for what is the fastest growing water activity in Britain today.
In addition to the race, there will be bank side entertainment, music, food and fun activities for all the family.
However, the main purpose of the event and our reasoning for entering for a second year in succession is of course to raise as much money as possible for Age UK Milton Keynes.
Age UK Milton Keynes is a local independent charity that each year provides services and direct support to over 12,000 people in later life.
It’s a day not to be missed so why not come down and help try and roar us onto victory.
