How To Give Your Conservatory Some Love This Season

We sincerely hope that if you plan to use your conservatory during the festive period that you have decorated the space and given it a Christmassy feel inside.

Because of where it’s placed, how roomy it is and how special of an atmosphere it offers, a conservatory is the perfect place to walk into on Christmas morning and then celebrate in on New Year’s Eve.

There’s still two weeks to go until the big day if you’ve yet to deck it out with decorations, giving you a full fortnight to take up the below instructions for transforming it into your own personal winter wonderland.

Warm it up

It’s a little late to add a solid roof to your old conservatory in time for Christmas if it gets a bit chilly in winter (maybe it’s something you can look into in the New Year), but you can improve cosiness levels by putting down thick, large throws on any furniture that you can cover yourself with and use to wrap up warm. Put on your thickest layers too and don’t forget to put on some thick socks or footwear as your conservatory flooring might feel particularly icy at times.  

Embrace the space

The Christmas dinner only comes around once a year, so why would you even consider eating it anywhere but in your conservatory?

It’s a really special occasion for the whole family and should be treated as such. Measure up and get a nice sized dinner table in there that you can cover in a stylish table cloth and set-up place mats with Christmas crackers at the side of them in readiness for the arrival of your guests.

Maybe put another Christmas tree in there too so that you can all open your Christmas presents in the conservatory and light a few festive candles to give it the unmistakable smell of Christmas.

Make it shine outside

It’s not just inside that you should decorate.

You could get someone who’s not scared of heights and knows what they’re doing to adorn the conservatory with some red or white-coloured fairy lights to ensure Santa spots it when on his sleigh up in the sky.
