Initially, wood-crafted windows exude oodles of charm, but as they start to age, they lose that original kerb appeal, particularly if there is a failure to preserve their design. So, what we have done is recreate the styling of a traditional wooden flush casement and used a maintenance-free material to manufacture it – UPVC. We have managed to do this while retaining the appearance of timber, utilising the type of coloured finishes that would be applied to authentic flush casements. You can see a classic white colour in this example and period-type hardware.
You can also see that Georgian bars have been incorporated into the flush casement windows to bolster their character. For security purposes, a multi-point locking mechanism is affixed to the design and keeps the windows firmly fixed when locked to vastly reduce the chances of burglary occurring. The whiteness of the windows contrasts nicely with the dark black finish that you can see on the front entrance and garage door. This installation provides conclusive evidence that these revolutionary flush casements aren’t just meant for homes with original flush casements, but also modern residences where they fit in just as successfully. Maybe you should be thinking of investing in them too.
