Hazlemere Windows 35th Anniversary Is Sadly A Very Sombre One

Although 2020 sees Hazlemere Windows 35th Anniversary, we won’t be celebrating it, as sadly this year is not the year any of us were expecting, and our showrooms remain temporarily closed.

Looking back to when Hazlemere was founded, just over 35 years ago it is rather unfortunate that many double glazing companies have gone out of business during this time, but not Hazlemere Windows, who have managed to more than stand the test of time since it was first established by the Braham family back in the Spring of 1985.

The business to this day is still entirely owned by the Braham family, with co-founder George Braham’s grand daughter Rachel Braham-Hill now at the helm as the Managing Director, with her father Stuart Braham still overseeing matters as the Company’s Chairman. As the photo below shows, several other members of the family also work at Hazlemere Windows, with others like Tony Beale, Sonia Marshall and Jason Bradshaw having done so for more than thirty years.

2020 has turned out to be a dreadful year for mankind, and a very sad one for Hazlemere Windows, with the sad passing during March 2020 of Ian Braham, Stuart Braham’s eldest brother, and one of the co-founders of the business. Government lockdowns across the globe in 2020 have had a major impact on every aspect of family, working and leisure, with the resultant ongoing economic and social impact likely to take many years to recover from.

During the last 35 years there’s a good chance that you might have been one of the 20,000+ customers that we have serviced or perhaps you’ve spotted one of our Hazlemere branded double glazing vehicles driving around. In all probability if you regularly frequent the western home counties, you may well have come across the Hazlemere Window Company’s name at some point, somehow, as Hazlemere as a brand has become renowned throughout Beds, Berks, Bucks, Herts, Oxon and Middlesex (and adjoining counties) as being the leading suppliers and installers of high quality retail windows, doors, glass extensions, orangeries and conservatories.

Our faithful customers partly attribute our longevity in the business to the fact that Hazlemere Window Company Ltd remains to this day a family-owned and run company just as much as it is also probably are our insistence on only using high quality materials, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and providing outstanding customer service. This enabled Hazlemere Windows in 1992 to create Hazlemere Commercial, a major Division of the Hazlemere Window Company Ltd, who manufacture, supply and install a wide range of architectural aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling in schools, offices, business and commercial buildings in the UK, as well as UPVC windows and doors, whilst also remaining firmly committed to our duties to the public sector.

Hazlemere have their own in-house expert consultants, designers, technical managers, estimators, surveyors, fabricators, installers and service engineers allows them to control the entire design, estimating, manufacturing and fitting process, along with having sufficient back up to provide the levels of after sales service required by end users. Its no wonder Hazlemere Window Company Ltd has managed to remain so highly competitive and respected in the fenestration industry for such a long time.

Stay home, stay safe and stay well, and we look forward to welcoming you back into our showrooms after it is safe to re-open them.

Our showrooms are our shop windows and we have invested heavily to create extensive displays that best showcase our large range of windows, doors and living spaces. You will receive a warm welcome, plus a proper coffee, and the choice to browse at your leisure without interruption.
